Lokayukta Judge N K Sundhindra Rao ordered the issue of summons to Muniraju and also co-accused tahsildar Ranganathaiah and Revenue Inspector Suresh directing them to appear before him on July 27.
Lokayukta police on July 13 filed a chargesheet against the MLA and the two others accusing him of grabbing over one acre of in collusion with the co-accused. He has been charged with offences under Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 and IPC sections 120 (b) (conspiracy) and 420 (cheating).
The court also adjourned the anticipatory bail application filed by Muniraju to July 24 for orders.
In his the private complaint,Puttaswamy, a resident of Dasarahalli, had alleged his mother-in-law Mallamma had been granted 1.15 acres of land through a government declaration at Kereguddadahalli in the 80s but Muniraju, misusing his power, claimed the property belonged to him.
The Lokayukta police in its report had confirmed the charges against Muniraju and the other two accused.
