Cow bits country made bomb while grazing, dies

A cow died after its jaw was torn into pieces after it accidently bit a powerful country bomb while grazing in an open field at Kathadichan Oorani in the district, police said hre today.
A herd of more than 500 cows had been grazing in the field when one of it accidently bit the bomb yesterday. Marimuthu, who was looking after the cows, heard a deafening noise and when rushed to spot he saw a cow with its jaw blown.
Forest Department officials said poachers could have kept the country bomb among leaves to kill animals.
