BJP in Kerala today slammed the ruling CPI(M) over political murders and violence in the state and charged that the Left party has become a synonym for violence.
Inaugurating a dharna in front of the state Secretariate here against attacks on his party workers allegedly by the ruling party, BJP state President Kummanam Rajasekharan said CPI(M) had adopted a stand that those belonging to parties other than Marxist the party should not live. He also alleged that both ruling CPI(M) and opposition Congress were playing 'adjustment politics'. "It is the duty of those who rule to visit places which witnessed violence and take initiative to restore peace there. But here, Chief Minister and his people are instigating the attacks," he charged.
"Even small children have begun to say that Marxist party is synonym for violence. But, neither the opposition leader nor any other leaders of the Congress party visited the places which witnessed political violence. It shows the secret alliance between the CPI(M) and Congress," Rajasekharan said.
The BJP leader also alleged that CPI-M was unleashing violence to divert people's attention from the failure of the eight-months-old LDF rule.
