"Surrendering to khap panchayats and to feudal armies like Ranvir Sena is the face of Indian capitalism. The party takes serious note of deepening agrarian crisis," party General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya said in a release.
Bhattacharya expressed concern over the 'growing penetration' of capitalism in the society and its economy, said the release quoting Bhattacharya's address on the 3rd day of its 9th Congress here.
It said the CPI (ML-Liberation) adopted a resolution to resist 'land acquirement by corporate sectors' and to bring issues of land reforms and housing rights to the fore as lands were "being snatched away from peasants, small farmers and sharecroppers".
"The rights of the poor are being deprived while there is nexus among feudal forces, contractors and local bureaucracy, leading to inadequate developmental works," the release added.
