Additional District Judge-I and designated judge S K Kar allowed the crime branch's plea for taking six-day remand of Khirod Malick, brother of ruling BJD's senior leader Pramila Mallick, and he would be produced before the court on November 10.
Malick, chairman of Biswa, an NGO, was arrested by the economic offence wing of crime branch on October 29 for allegedly floating an unlicensed money circulation firm and produced before the designated court on October 30.
"We had applied for six-day police remaind of Malick and the court granted our appeal," said special prosecutor Rajendra Sahu adding he would be produced before the court on November 10.
In 2012, Gajapati district administration had received complaints from investors and started investigating his activities.
