Crop loss: 4 farmers die due to shock; 2 commit suicide

Four farmers died here apparently due to shock while two committed suicide after finding low yield of crops, hit by unseasonal rains and hailstorms, police said today.
Lal Singh Fauji (50) allegedly died of shock yesterday after finding low yield of crops at Nagla Abua village, they said.
He was rushed to the Army Hospital where died of heart attack, they said, adding that the body has been sent for post mortem.
Shyam Sundar, 35, a resident Barsana who went missing on Sunday evening was also recovered from railway tracks at Kosi Kalan in the district yesterday, police said today, adding that the deceased's family has identified the body.
Shyam was worried about the loss of crops and a bank loan he had taken and it forced him to take the extreme step, police said.
Meanwhile, in Pali village, Shanker Lal, 60, died yesterday apparently due to shock when his son returned from their 6 bigha agricultural land with only six sacks of wheat, they said.
According to the deceased's family, he was distressed for the last few days over loss of crops, police said.
According to reports, two more farmers committed suicide in different parts of the district while wife of a farmer died due to shock after finding low yield of crops late last evening, police said.
