Traffic through the crossing was suspended on February 7 after Indian security officials in Uri reportedly recovered nearly 200 packets of suspected contraband from an orange-laden truck coming from Pakistan.
Subsequently, the cross-border trade was halted following the seizure of 72 trucks on both sides.
The Dawn reported that last week Indian and Pakistani authorities reached an understanding following which all but one of the 72 trucks stranded on the opposite sides of the LoC were allowed to return in the evening.
