"Ran Singh (28), a CRPF jawan posted in Jammu, was returning to work after spending leave at his native place Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh.
"He was travelling in Jammu-bound Tata Moori Express and got down to drink water at a local railway station," Phagwara Railway Station GRP Post in-charge Gurbhej Singh today said.
Singh was killed when he tried to board the moving train, Gurbhej said.
In the second incident, Vijay Kumar (40) of Santokhpura area was killed in another accident in a moving train in Shakti Nagar near here, he said.
