CRPF jawan shoots self in Kashmir

A CRPF jawan today allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself from his service rifle at a force camp in Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials said the incident occurred around 5.15 PM when Head Constable R K Solanki (40) shot himself from his INSAS rifle at the 49th battalion camp of the force in Karangar area.
Solanki hailed from Mathura in Uttar Pradesh, they said.
"A team of local police and senior Central Reserve Police Force officials soon reached the spot for investigations. A Court of Inquiry has been ordered by the paramilitary to go into the exact cause of Solanki taking the extreme step," they said.
