CRPFjawan shoots himself deadin Chhattisgarh

ACRPFjawanallegedly committed suicideby shooting himself with his service weapon at the paramilitary camp in Chhattisgarh's worst insurgency-hit Sukma district, police said today.
The head constable Ram Prakash Singh belonging to 150th battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) took the extreme step by shooting himself with his service rifle around 10:30 AM at his camp under Dornapal police station limits, Sukma Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Santosh Singh told PTI.
When Singh's colleagues heard the gunshot from his barrack, they rushed to the place and found him lying in the pool of blood.
Immediately, he was rushed to a local hospital where he was declared brought dead, the ASP said.
Thejawanwas a native of Bharatpur in Rajasthan.
The reason why the jawan shot himself dead is yet to be ascertained, the officer said, adding a case has been registered in this connection and investigations are underway.
