The District Sessions Court here today extended the judicial custody of four Maoists, arrested in May, till July 15.
On the expiry of their custody this day, the Maoists--J Anup, C Veeraamani, Kannan and Shyna, were produced before Principal District Sessions Judge, R Pongiappan, who asked police to produce them before the court on July 15.
Their leader, Roopesh is in the custody of Kerala police in connection with a case there.
The four refused to sign, when the judge asked them to do so for verifying if signatures in some documents seized from them during raids were theirs, as sought by police in a petition, as part of investigation.
The Maoists, who were arrested in the month of May from a bakery in Karumathapatti on the outskirts, raised slogans against police, while being brought to the Court.
