A patient identified as one Dillip Kumar Basu of local Madhusudan Nagar of Tulasipur is now undergoing treatment in a private hospital here suffering from the mosquito-borne disease.
Hospital sources said today that the condition of the patient is improving and he was shifted to a general ward from ICU on the day.
Health department sources confirmed having received the news.
"The blood platelet count of the patient was abysmally low at 45,000 when he was admitted here last week. But today it was counted at 1,30,000," the Hospital said adding that the normal blood platelet count is between 1,50,000 and 4,00,000.
