Spokesman Pavel Hantak says police seized more than 100 kilograms (220 pounds) of various explosives, including Semtex, and over 1,000 detonators.
Hantak says police made the seizure, one of their biggest, in a massive operation after receiving a tip they were available for sale in the criminal underworld.
Investigators also seized some 150 kilograms of materials that are used to make explosives and 50 kilograms of unspecified dangerous poisons and highly toxic materials.
