Two distinguished academicians -- IIT Guwahati Director Dr Goutam Ghosh and Jadavpur University professor Dr Biswajit Ghosh -- would also be honoured with DSc degrees at the convocation.
The Senate of the institute has decided to confer D Litt to gymnast Dipa Karmakar and D SC to two academicians in the 10th convocation on November 11, Agaratala NIT director A K Roy told PTI.
Karmakar, the first woman gymnast in the country to qualify for the Olympics, finished fourth in Rio Olympic last year.
National Board of Accreditation chairman and former director of IIT-Delhi, Surendra Prasad, would also grace the occasion as chef guest.
