Osborne was suspended from TOWIE following the leak of a recording which allegedly features him threatening to stab ex-girlfriend Megan Tomlin, reported Digital Spy.
A spokesperson for ITVBe has now clarified that producers have decided not to invite Osborne back for the new series.
The ITVBe representative said: "Dan was suspended during the last series of TOWIE, and Lime Pictures and ITV have since decided he will not be returning to the show. We wish him luck in the future."
Osborne was recently publicly defended by his girlfriend Jacqueline Jossa, who argued on Twitter that he was being unfairly judged for a mistake.
