DAV cluster meet held in Patna

Students from 15 DAV schools competed with each other in track and field and other events like yoga and chess in DAV national Sports Cluster meet here today.
Chairman of Bihar State Legislative Council Awdesh Narayan Singh inaugurated the sports meet at DAV BSEB here. Patna Mayor Afzal Imam was the special guest on the occasion.
Regional Director of the DAV U S Prasad, Assistant Regional Director Indrajit Rai, coordinator of the meet and DAV Khagaul Principal Ramashish Rai and his counterpart in DAV BSEB V S Ojha were present on the occasion.
The DAV national sports cluster meet is recognised by School Games Federation of India, a DAV BSEB release said here.

In his speech, the Legislative Council Chairman stressed on importance of sports. "Sports establish moral values in life and enhances personality," he said and exhorted students to participate in sports along with academics.
The Patna Mayor said sports increases self-confidence in a youth.

DAV Regional Director U S Prasad and his Assistant Indrajit Rai said that the DAV society gives equal emphasis on sporting talent along with studies for allround personality development of the students.
DAV BSEB Principal V S Ojha in his address told students that whether you win or lose, the spirit of sports should be maintained in every condition.

The closing ceremony of the DAV cluster meet will be held at DAV BSEB tomorrow.
