Principal Secretary (revenue) Dharam Pal directed the DCs to strictly take action against such encroachments.
These directions were made at a meeting today held to review the working of the District Task Force of each District, officials said.
Delhi Government has taken up a comprehensive and coordinated drive through the Municipal Corporations, District Magistrates, Public Works Department and other land owning agencies to check encroachments.
In the drive, the Gram Sabha land and the land belonging to various government departments have been retrieved by removing illegal and unauthorised encroachment.
During the meeting, the Principal Secretary also reiterated that all DCs should inspect the metro stations falling in the area under their jurisdiction.
