According to the new dress code, female students would wear white saree and uttareya (scarfs) bearing blue border, while male students would wear white kurta pajama with blue-bordered scarfs, Vice Chancellor A C Varshaney told reporters today.
Other participants in the convocation, including the chief guest and professors, would wear cream coloured kurta, dhoti and jacket, accompanied by a maroon turban, he said.
Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik would deliver the address during the convocation in which three candidates would receive their PhD degrees, 18 MVSc and 67 BVSc degrees, the VC said.
