Decision on contesting R K Nagar constituency on June 1

CPI's Tamil Nadu unit today said it would take a decision on June 1 on whether to contest the June 27 bypoll to Radhakrishna Nagar constituency in Chennai, from where AIADMK General Secretary Jayalalithaa is contesting following her return as Chief Minister.
The CPI state council meet in Chennai that day would take a decision on the matter, senior party leader R Nallakannu he told reporters here
Jayalalithaa was on May 11 acquitted of all the charges by the Karnataka High Court and the AIADMK supremo returned as Chief Minister for the fifth time on May 23.
AIADMK's P Vetrivel had resigned as MLA of Radhakrishnan Nagar on May 17.
