Decomposed body of child found

The decomposed body of a
child, with apparent similarities with one missing five days ago, was today found in the bank of a river in Malda district, police said.
Local people discovered the body, which was severed in several parts, in the bank of Mahananda river in Sahapur village under Malda police station.
A two-year-old boy of the locality had gone missing five days ago and the police were investing the case.
Father of the missing boy said the dress of the dead child appears similar to his son's but, as the body was highly decomposed, he could not be sure if it was of his child.
The body has been sent for postmortem.
