The decomposed body of a 24-year-old MBA student, who was missing since August 28, was found in a forest in Odisha's Ganjam district Tuesday, police said.
Following this, local people staged a road blockade near Tarsingi in the district demanding arrest of the culprits and compensation to the parents of the deceased.
As tension prevailed in the area, senior police officers including Superintendent of Police Brijesh Rai rushed to the spot. The situation is tense but under control, said a police officer.
The body of Jitendra Pradhan of Bhogara village under Tarsingi police station was found a day after his motorbike was discovered in the same jungle by the villagers.
Pradhan was an MBA student at a private institute in Bhubaneswar.
