The 30-year-old star, who will next be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Padmavati" alongside Ranveer Singh, decided to spend some quality time with her family before the film's shooting schedule starts.
"Diwali is the festival of lights, joy and happiness and has always been a very special festival for all of us. So I decided to spend quality time with my family before I immerse myself in 'Padmavati'," Deepika said in a statement.
