Defending champion Manipur school notches up win in Subroto Cup

Defending champions Unique Model Academy of Manipur notched up their second victory in the Subroto Cup International Football tournament on the third day here on Thursday.

The Manipur team beat Air Force School 6-0 with Y Monis scoring a hat-trick with goals at 5th, 26th and 47th minutes. The other goals were scored by Th Ibochouba (10th), Th Ibopishak (15th) and Ch Akash (37th).

The other matches of the day were also high-scoring ones.

In Pool C, Bangladesh Krida Shiksha Protishthan (BKSP) won their first match after a draw in their previous game. BKSP defeated Vishwas Nav Sharda School, Fatehabad 9-0.

For the Bangladesh school, Nur Alam scored five goals (11th, 17th, 28th, 45th and 56th). Multalim scored thrice with goals at 14th, 18th and 50th minutes. Turiqul (40th) completed the nine goal victory.

In Pool H, Meghalaya's District War Sepngi Christian Higher Secondary School defeated Sanskaar Valley School, Madhya Pradesh 13-0, while Mizoram's Saidan Secondary School routed Dr YSR Sports School, Andhra Pradesh 13-1 in Pool E.

In Pool G, Kerala's GOHS Edathanattuara won 6-0 against Sainik School, IPSC, while Chandigarh's Govt. Model High School beat NCC NER 3-0 in Pool F.

In Pool B, Chattisgarh's Ramkrishna Mission Vivekanand Vidyapeeth won 7-0 over Maharashtra's Maharashtra High School and College, while the Pool G match between New Delhi's Mamta Modern Senior Secondary School played out 1-1 draw against Sainik School, Jharkhand.
