The BCCI's Tours and Fixtures Committee today named Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Nagpur as the four Test match venues for the series against South Africa scheduled to be played through October and November.
According to a BCCI media release, the Proteas will be playing four Tests, five ODIs and three T20 Internationals while Sri Lanka will come for three T20 Internationals.
Keeping next year's ICC World T20 in mind, there will be six T20 Internationals.
The five ODI venues for the South Africa games are Chennai, Kanpur, MPCA, Rajkot and Mumbai. While the venue for the MPCA (Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association) has not been specified, it would either be Indore or Gwalior, the two international venues of the state.
The three T20 Internationals will be held at Kolkata, Mohali, Dharamsala.
The three T20 Internationals against Sri Lanka will be held in Pune, Visakhapatnam and Delhi.
"The table does not indicate the sequence in which the matches will be played. The detailed schedule with the exact dates will be announced later," BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur was quoted as saying by a media release.
