Delhi BJP MLAs today met Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia to discuss the demand of regularisation of 17,000 guest teachers and urged the city government not to "politicise" the issue.
Leader of the Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta alleged that the AAP government has "mismanaged and made controversial" the guest teachers issue.
He claimed that "the proposal being brought in the Delhi Assembly on October 4 too is contradictory to the earlier proposal passed in the Assembly on the guest teachers issue".
"We appealed to the Kejriwal Government to not to politicise the sensitive guest teachers issue like we have seen in the matter of several bills including on Lokpal brought in the Assembly that are lying ineffective," he said.
Delhi BJP President Manoj Tiwari claimed that the AAP government has sought the co-operation of the opposition on guest teachers issue and the BJP MLAs have extended "positive support".
