Jain took the stock of the ongoing dengue preparations at Janakpuri's Super Speciality Hospital where 200 new beds were recently set up to accommodate the increasing numbers of dengue patients.
The Health minister also met representatives of School Management Committee (SMC) to spread dengue awareness in 1100 government schools in the national capital.
Jain also asked the representative of SMC to make school children, teachers and staff aware about the vector-borne disease and to ensure that all surroundings are kept clean.
"Some individuals and AAP Trade Wing representatives have announced donation of 700 new beds in government hospitals," the official said.
