A Delhi police constable has been arrested from the national capital in connection with the murder of a lawyer at Kheri Gani village here.
Devender Kumar, posted in Delhi, was arrested yesterday from the national capital by Uttar Pradesh Police and brought to the district here for allegedly being involved in the murder of lawyer Sanjeev Malik who was shot dead on May 19 by four persons, said Jagdish Singh, SHO, Phugana Police Station.
According to preliminary investigations, Kumar, who hails from a nearby village, was in a land dispute with Malik and had hired four persons to kill him, he said.
