Delhi to host 2-day non-fiction festival

Issues like corruption, women in society and national security will come up for discussion at a two-day literary festival here that aims to cater to students, academicians and readers alike.
The 2nd India Non Fiction Festival with the theme "Be Bold. Stay Real" will be held for the first time in the national capital from November 30.
The first edition of the festival was held in Mumbai in June.
The event being a platform for everything that is non-fiction will bring together non-fiction writers and readers.
The speakers include the likes of noted academician Rajmohan Gandhi, former army chief Gen V K Singh, former Air India Executive Director Jitendra Bhargava, former diplomat Pavan Varma and member in the Prime Minister's Scientific Advisory Council Kiran Karnik.
The festival will also be a platform for the youth to voice their opinion on various social issues.
While Dipankar Gupta, Pavan Varma, Pranay Gupte, Kiran Karnik will speak on "India: The Future is Now", Hartosh Singh Bal, Rajmohan Gandhi, Vishwajyoti Ghosh, M K Rasgotra and Shankkar Aiyar will participate in a discussion "India: The Past is Present".
Journalist Rahul Kanwal will be in conversation with Gen V K Singh and there will be also a session on "What can Cricket do for India?" by Ayaz Memon.
Other highlights of the festival are exclusive sessions for the audience and the youth besides book launches and book signing sessions.
The festival, organised by Mumbai-based knowledge media company Leap Vault, will be held at the India Habitat Centre here.
