More showers are likely to occur later in the day while the minimum temperature settled at 24.2 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average.
"The city recorded 23.6 mm rains in the last 24 hours with 19.6 mm in Lodhi Road, 18.7 mm in Ayanagar and 12.0 mm rainfall recorded in Ridge area," a MeT department official said.
The humidity was 87 per cent at 8.30 AM.
The weather will remain generally cloudy with the possibility of thunderstorms with rains at many places.
Yesterday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.2 degrees Celsius while the maximum settled at 36 degrees Celsius.
