It is the title track of her upcoming album. The single follows her last song "Cool for the Summer" off the new set.
Lovato, 23, made the announcement on Twitter and shared the cover art for the single, reported Aceshowbiz.
"#Confident is officially my next single!!!" she excitedly tweeted.
The cover art sees her looking fierce as she poses in a black leather crop top teamed with a skirt of the same colour.
There is no word on when the single will arrive. Co-written by Lovato with Savan Kotecha, Ilya Salmanzadeh and Max Martin, the song was originally planned to lead her new album, which is coming out on October 16.
