Demonetisation: Congress to hold demonstration tomorrow

Ruling Congress in Puducherry would hold a demonstration here tomorrow to protest the denomination of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 denomintions.
PWD Minister and PCC president A Namassivayam said Chief Minister V Narayanasamy, Miniters, party legislators and delegates of different wings of the Congress would participate in the demonstration to be held infront of the Head Post Office here.
Describing the demonetisation as an "anti people measure" Namassivayam said that the Centre had not made sufficient currencies available in exchange and no alternative arrangement had also been provided.
Demonetisation had caused set back to the economy of the country and also hit the people, he said.

He announced that Congress would extend full support to the human chain agitation organised here tomorrow by DMK to condemn the denomination.
DMK is an alliance partner of the ruling Congress.
