A two-day fair began here today to mark the occasion, Achleshwar Kar Seva Trust president Pawan Kumar said.
Many sadhus and saints from far away places have reached the temple and more than 30 'havan kunds' have been installed around the temple where 'yajna' is being performed, he said.
Achleshawar Dham is known as the adobe of Lord Shiva's son Kartikeya. First Sikh Guru Nanak Dev visited the holy place and a historic Gurudwara, situated along with the temple, demonstrates communal harmony between the two communities.
