Rich tributes were paid to fifth Sikh Guru Arjan Dev across Punjab on his martyrdom day today.
Several devotees took bath at the 'sarovar' (sacred pond) of the historic gurdwara at Sri Muktsar Sahib.
Devotees also took bath in the 'sarovar' of Gurudwara Gadri Sahib Baba Farid at Kotkapura and also at 'sarovars' of Nanaksar and Takhtupura in Moga district.
After taking bath, the devotees attended 'kirtan' and 'Akahand Path' (prayer) in gurdwaras.
Community kitchens were also organised by devotees in gurdwaras.
On the occasion, religious preachers urged devotees to follow the noble teachings of Guru Arjan Dev.
