Sharing the information with reporters during a visit to Haridwar yesterday, BJP Rajya Sabha MP from Uttarakhand Tarun Vijay said he has already held negotiations in this regard with both MTNL and BSNL officials.
The decision has been taken in recognition of the fact that devotees from across the country and abroad turn up at Har Ki Pauri for a holy dip in the river on important religious occasions, he said.
Vijay said he will also build a yatri niwas utilising his MPLAD fund in Haridwar for the convenience of pilgrims before next year's Ardh Kumbh mela.
