The trailer will be first launched in Jalandhar, tomorrow, post which he and the film's team will travel to Delhi and release the trailer the same day.
The Mumbai launch has been scheduled for August 11.
In Jalandhar, Dhoni would be seen visiting Lovely Professional University and unveil the trailer to a crowd of 35,000 fans.
"We are very excited to launch the trailer of "MS Dhoni - The Untold Story" first in Jalandhar. It will be one of the biggest launches in the presence of an audience of more than 35,000 people," director Neeraj Pandey said in a statement.
Helmed by Pandey, produced by Arun Pandey and Fox Star studios, the film stars Sushant Singh Rajput playing the Indian cricketer.
The film is scheduled to release on September 30.
