CAB joint secretary Sourav Ganguly told reporters after attending a CAB working committee meeting that Bengal would play their first match against HPCA (Himachal Pradesh) XI on the inaugural day of the tournament.
Meanwhile, the CAB also announced its new selection committee with former Bengal captain Raju Mukherjee as the chairman. Another former Bengal captain and national selector Sambaran Banerjee, who was supposed to head the committee will now work under Mukherjee. Indu Bhusan Roy and Aloke Bhattacharya still have one year left in their tenure.
