Diwali celebrated across Rajasthan

Diwali was celebrated with fervour and gaiety across Rajasthan today, with elders exchanging greetings and children bursting firecrackers.
Markets remained crowded till late last night with people purchasing sweets, clothes, decorative items and firecrackers for the festival of light.
Fireworks have been illuminating the sky in most places for the last couple of nights and all markets, particularly in walled city area of the Pink City which is visited in night by thousands of people, have been decorated for the occasion.
Special arrangements for security and traffic are in place. Additional policemen have been deployed in the entire city area during the festival season.

"Special arrangements have been made for the security in the city. Additional policemen have been deployed in all the areas and the festival is going on peacefully," a senior police officer said.
