DM hands over Rs 20 lakh to martyr's wife

District authorities today handed over a cheque of Rs 20 lakh to the wife of martyred constable Sanjeev Kumar Chaudhary, who was killed in a fierce encounter in Arunachal Pradesh.
District Magistrate Vimal Kumar Sharma handed over the cheque at the martyr's ancestral village Dhindar in Murad Nagar town, Additional District Information Officer Gajay Singh said.
Chaudhary was killed in a fierce encounter with Naga extremists on April 1 in Arunachal Pradesh.
DM Sharma said that Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has expressed deep concern and announced an ex-gratia of Rs 20 lakh to the kin of the slain armyman.
He asked the villagers and family members of the martyr to render every possible help to his wife in seeking a government job.
The DM was accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Singh, Chief Development Officer Krishna Krunesh, MLC Aashu Malik and SP district president Sazid Hussain.
