BJP Tamil Nadu unit President Tamilisai Soundararajan Tuesday said DMK chief M K Stalin should clarify whether he has taken up the Mekedatu reservoir issue with Congress President Rahul Gandhi.
She also asked why Stalin and state Congress president S Thirunavukkarasar have not met and held discussions with the Karnataka Chief Minister over the issue.
"Has Stalin discussed the issue with Congress president Rahul Gandhi and if yes, what is the outcome. Stalin should make DMK's stand clear on the issue," she told reporters here.
Karnataka's proposal to construct a reservoir at Mekedatu has come been condemned by parties including in Tamil Nadu with the DMK recently staging a protest in Tiruchirapally, the heart of the Cauvery delta
