Do not meddle in others' functioning, Ghosh urges WB govt

West Bengal BJP chief Dilip Ghosh today asked the Mamata Banerjee government not to meddle in the functioning of others and do its own work seriously.
On the Narada sting operation issue, Ghosh asked what was the need of the state government to go for another inquiry when others are already doing it.
The West Bengal government had initiated a police probe into the Narada sting operation that purportedly showed people resembling senior leaders of the ruling Trinamool Congress taking in exchange for favours. The Calcutta High Court on August 5 stayed the investigation as a case is pending in the High Court.

Talking to reporters here, he alleged that those who did wrong in the Narada case were not punished.
Ghosh asked the state government about the status of the six enquiry commissions it has formed several years ago.
If the government is yet to get reports of the commissions set up by it, why it is meddling with others, Ghosh asked.

About the government's move to change the state's name from West Bengal to Bengal, he said his party would observe "Save West Bengal Day" on August 16.
The party will collect signature of the people and send them to President Pranab Mukherjee so that the state's remained as it is now.

After visiting closed Chamurchi tea garden and other areas of Dooars, he said the state government should create an atmosphere so that industrialists can run tea gardens.
About the recent flood in the area, Ghosh said if proper arrangements like erecting embankments were taken beforehand, people would not have suffered.
The BJP leader also asked the government to stop infiltration and cow smuggling.
