A doctor was allegedly killed at her residence here, police said today.
The body of Manju Sharma (66) was found with injury marks on her head and face at her residence-cum-nursing home yesterday, Sub Inspector Naresh Kumar said.
Police suspect she was strangled to death.
The doctor's son Deepak, working in Karnal district, yesterday tried to contact his mother over the phone, but got no response.
He then requested the officer on duty at a local police station to contact his mother. When a police team visited Manju Sharma's residence, they found her dead.
A case has been registered.
