Dollar Ind Q2 net jumps 30pc to 14cr

Hosiery company Dollar Industries today reported a rise of 30 per cent in the Q2 period ending September, 2017 at Rs 14.87 crore against Rs 11.38 crore registered in corresponding period of FY 16.
The revenue from operations were also higher at Rs 212.72 crore for the period under review compared to Rs 197.16 crore in the same period of FY16, the company said in a statement.
Lower material and finance costs fueled the profitability of the company.
The company has four manufacturing units in Kolkata, Tirupur (TN), Delhi and Ludhiana and enjoys a 15 per cent market share in the branded hosiery segment in India.
Dollar Industries has recently started business in Nigeria in Africa to enhance its export revenue, the company statement said.
Its existing export markets are in the Gulf, the Middle East and Nepal, the statement added.
