DoT Secretary Rakesh Garg to hold addl charge of DEITY

Telecommunications Secretary Rakesh Garg has been given additional charge of Secretary, Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY).
Garg, a 1980 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre, will hold the additional charge for three months, an order issued by Department of Personnel and Training said.
The vacancy was necessitated after R S Sharma, who has been nominated as Chairman of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, relinquished the charge of the post of DeitY Secretary.
