Double digit growth would be more attractive than the existing single digit growth, Managing Director and CEO of Federal Bank Shyam Srinivasan said today.
Interacting with the students of Thiagarajar School of Management near here, after addressing the 29th convocation he said "there should be more growth".
He was asked about the gold monetisation when he stressed the need for double digit growth. Asked about his views on the economic policies of the present government, he said the ideas of the government are conceptually fantastic and Just the creation (of ideas) would not alter anything.
A long way has to be travelled to reach the destination of success. He insisted the students to be idea oriented and make an impact where ever they are placed.
On the challenges faced by the Federal Bank at the time of globalising, he said the market challenges and repositioning in terms of scaling through the younger generation was important and challenging. "Now the digital footprints are more important than physical imprints. "The banks preferred students who had intellectual curiosity, he said.
The students should cultivate the "You" in you and work towards building a brand called "YOU". They should have bird's view and worm's view to withstand changes in technology.
As many as 165 students graduated this year.
