In a letter to Kejriwal, Singh said areas across the city have been facing long hours of power cut and he must look into the issue "urgently".
"If this is the situation in winter, then what will happen in peak summer months? I request you to look into the issue urgently. People of Delhi have been suffering because of long power cuts and as head of the government you must address the pressing issue," Singh said in the letter.
Singh said areas in West and North East have been the "worst affected".
"I hope you will address the issue and ensure uninterrupted power supply and will not force us to hit the streets," Singh said.
Some areas in the city have been facing power cuts and officials in power department attributed the outages to technical problem in the distribution network.
