DPS principal's daughter found dead, note indicates suicide

The 29-year-old daughter of the principal of a prestigious South Delhi school was found dead at her father's official residence on the campus.
The deceased, Anjana Saini, daughter of the principal of Delhi Public School in RK Puram, DR Saini, was found hanging from the ceiling fan inside her room on the first floor of the house yesterday night. According to the police, the incident took place around 9 PM.
"Anjana's body was discovered by her mother who went upstairs to check on her last night. She found her daughter hanging from the ceiling fan and raised an alarm following which her husband and son rushed in and rushed her to a private hospital where she was declared dead on arrival," said the investigating police officer.

The hospital authorities then informed police.
Police have found a suicide note, kept near the television in which Anjana stated that she was taking the decision to end her life and did not wish to blame anyone for it.
"As per the suicide note, she has stated that no one was responsible for her death and she is taking this decision in her full senses and no one is to be blamed," the officer said.

Investigations have revealed that Anjana's family members were looking for a groom for her but were unable to find a suitable match.
Yesterday night, Anjana was having dinner with her family members when she received a call and went upstairs.

Police have seized her mobile phone and the suicide note has been sent for forensic examination by handwriting experts.
"We are also scanning her account on social networking sites... Further investigations are underway," the officer said. The body was handed over to the family members after the post-mortem at AIIMS.
"Prima facie it was a case of death by hanging which was confirmed in the autopsy. We performed the autopsy at 9.30 AM after which the body was handed over to the family. The report was sent to the investigating officer. There were no signs of assaults on her body," said an AIIMS official.

Anjana studied at the same school where her father worked and had done her MBA from Amity University in 2008. She worked as a manager with India Bulls in Gurgaon.
