Amit alias Saddam, had a bullet injury at the time of his arrest and has been admitted to hospital, said SSP PRO R K Vashishth.
Police had received a tip-off that Amit will be going to Delhi in a car. During checking, a car was stopped, but the driver sped off, saying that there was a patient in the car, he said.
The car was eventually stopped and Amit was found in it.
Amit has nearly 40 criminal cases, including those related to heinoius crimes, registered against him, he said.
