The prosecution case was that the woman used to travel in the private bus to Coimbatore to treat her 18-month-old hearing and speech impaired daughter.
The woman was allegedly in love with the driver Saravanakumar and she went missing with her child on March 2, 2013.
Her husband lodged a complaint and police arrested Saravanakumar and rescued the woman and daughter from his house.
Mahila Court Judge N Thirunavukkarasu sentenced Saravanakumar to 10 years RI for kidnapping the woman and child yesterday.
