Also, to prevent traffic congestion, the movement of heavy vehicles to Delhi would be suspended from January 25 to the evening of January 26.
Security has been beefed up in and around Mathura at various government as well as private installations for Republic Day.
"For security monitoring, drone cameras would be used for the first time at the major temples at Mathura and Vrindaban, on the Yamuna Expressway and at the Mathura Refinery from January 24 to 26," said SSP Rakesh Singh.
As a precautionary measure, mock drills were conducted at the two shrines of Sri Krishna Janmasthan.
