Drug peddler arrested in Jammu

Police have arrested a drug peddler and recovered 238 intoxicant injections and 220 intoxicant tablets from his possession in Jammu winter capital city.
A police party conducted surprised checking at Pacca Danga in the city today and intercepted one pedestrian, Deepak Kumar, Police officer said.
During his personal search, police party recovered 238 intoxicant injections and 220 intoxicant tablets from him, he said adding that the accused was then arrested by police.
In this regard, a case was registered and further investigation is going on, he said.
Meanwhile, police also recovered 24 bottles of rum without excise label from one Rashpal during checking at Maheshwar area in Samba district today, he said.

The accused was carrying it in a bag on its motorcycle and accordingly, a case has been registered against him and investigation was started, he said.
